There are many ways to play Team Tic Tac Toe. This method will use 9 stools. This is better than chairs as you can access the seat from any side. The group will need to stand in a circle around the stools. A large room or hall space is best. The group must be divided into two teams.

The simplest way is to split the room in half. One half of the room will be noughts and the other half crosses.

Each team member will now need to be assigned a number. In this example each team will have a player numbered 1 to 6.

Once everyone is in a designated team and has a number the game is ready to start. To play the instructor will call out a number. In this example this will be from 1 – 6.

The two corresponding players must then move at pace to where they want to sit and raise their arms to make their teams symbol. Only one person can sit on each stool. Once seated they cannot change seats and should keep their symbol raised.

This process will keep being repeated until either the noughts or crosses have a three in a row. This row can be made horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Some games will of course end up in stale mate.

A tally of wins can be kept to declare an overall winner.
