The Problem Solving Company have been running team building activities in schools in Somerset and beyond since 2007. Over that time, we have visited thousands of schools all with their own needs and requirements. This experience puts us in a leading position to fulfil all the different needs your school may have.
Indoor and Outdoor Challenge Days
The beauty of our team building activities is that they can be run in so many locations within the school setting. Our equipment is weatherproof which allows our sessions to be run outside at any time of the year. We appreciate that not all weather conditions are suitable for a quality learning experience. We are therefore able to run all of our activities inside in large spaces such as halls and Sports halls. If this is not possible we can spread our activities out across smaller spaces such as classrooms.

SEND Activity Days
We have worked with many “Special Education Needs & Disabilities” students over the many years that we have been running our team building programs at schools. Whether we are visiting a dedicated Special School or working alongside students in mainstream school our activity programs give the participants a fantastic experience. We often find that teaching and support staff are given the opportunity to see their students in a whole new light. We are able to be very flexible with our approach to the day and with a large range of team building activities we can cater for most students needs.
Escape Room Experience
Bring the experience of an escape room to your classroom with The Problem Solving Company’s escape days. This is the perfect way to let your class feel what it is like to complete a real escape room without the extensive hassle of having to organise a school trip. Our escape challenges are suitable for all students from early KS2 upwards and come in a range of topics including but not exclusive to: Maths, Science, Egyptology and other historical civilisations and events. We appreciate space is a precious commodity for some schools, so this activity is ideal for a school hall our large classroom.

Types of Activities
All of our activities have a host of cross curricular links to core subjects. Our main focus is on Problem Solving. As this is an important part of numeracy many of our activity days lend themselves to having a STEM content. With our team building days the main focus is on Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE). The great attribute of our activities is that we can mix and match all of activities always creating a great activity day.
Choose Your Activities
For Primary School pupils in Somerset we offer a variety of Maths Workshops, Escape Room Activities, concentrating on Maths, History and Science and a range of Team Building days. We can offer activities to EYFS, KS1 & KS2. When visiting Secondary Schools as well as our large team building days popular choices are our School Escape Rooms and our Bushcraft & Survival Days. For both Primary and Secondary Schools we also have a range of “add” on activities like Laser Tag and Crazy Golf which are always popular choices.
STEM Construction Days
Challenge your students design and building capabilities with our STEM construction days. The Problem Solving Company offers a wide variety of activities from building a rollercoaster for maximum efficiency to designing a vehicle that can transport cargo under budget. We can provide activities for a class of students for the whole day or give multiple classes a taster session.
Transparent Pricing
We have tried a few pricing structures since 2007 when we started to run our mobile team building days in schools. The firm favourite by schools is simply knowing the cost of an instructor and how many are coming to school. This way there is no surprises in what is being offered. There is no additional costs except VAT which we legally have to charge. The good news is most schools get this back.
